Reverend Christos Christou, Jr.
Chris joined in the Maryland Society in 1988 as a member of the Colonel John Eager Howard Chapter and has been a member in good standing for 34 years.
In 1990 he became an officer of the Chapter’s Board and joined several of its committees and started a Chapter Newsletter which won several National Awards. He served on many state committees including Archivist, Essay, and Patriot Indexing and several years as the State’s Assistant Secretary before taking on the role of Secretary and then 3rd Vice President in 2003. He served as State Registrar for 9 years starting in 2010, then State Secretary again while serving as Chairman of many committees including 7 years as Yearbook Editor and founding the State Newsletter in 2001.
In 2006, Christos became Maryland’s 83rd President, still the youngest to do so in the Maryland Society’s 133-year history. From 2001, he served for 3 years as the Chairman of the National Society’s Orations Committee and from 2004 for 3 years as Co-Chairman of the National Society’s Essay Committee including as a judge and later Sr. Advisor and for 9 years on the National Patriot Indexing committee. He designed the current Maryland State Logo.
