3rd Annual Southern Maryland Genealogy and History Fair Day and Conference will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2020, from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Maryland Veterans Museum at Patriot Park, 11000 Crain Hwy, Newburg, Maryland.
The District of Columbia Society Sons of the American Revolution 2020 Sweethearts and Patriots Gala will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at The Embassy of France in the Georgetown section of Washington, DC.

John Beakes, a member of the Charles Carroll of Carrollton Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution has released a new book. “De Kalb: One of the Revolutionary War’s Bravest Generals.” A recent review is attached. This is John's 4th book on heroes of the American Revolution. The review lists his other books.
The Col. Henry Hollingsworth Chapter will be having a luncheon at Wesley's Restaurant in Elkton on January 19, 2020 at 1PM. We will be ordering off the menu.

Members of the John Hanson Chapter along with Maryland Society President James Perry attended the Wreaths Across American at Cheltenham Veteran’s Cemetery on Saturday, December 14, 2019. The John Hanson Chapter provides the Location Coordinator to support the effort at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery which, has become a year round effort. The Cemetery has 28,000+ graves and gets its wreaths solely through sponsorships through Wreaths Across America and local organizations. On November 17, 2019, the John Hanson Chapter MDSSAR presented six Eagle Scout Certificates of Achievement to Boy Scout Troop 1575 of Upper Marlboro, MD. Secretary George Satterthwaite attended the Court of Honor and presented the Certificates to the young men. Sadly, this will be their last Court of Honor as their Troop will be officially closing in January 2020 due to the lack of youth membership. Troop 1575 has been in existence for over fifty-three years and had produced one hundred and twenty-six Eagle Scouts during that time.
The Col. John Eager Howard Chapter will have their next meeting on January 25, 2020, 12:00pm, at the Hopkins Club. Further details and an invitation are forthcoming.
